Project Description

A joint effort between the City of Newark, the business community, law enforcement, and the surrounding residents; the First Precinct  Place is a worthwhile and welcome endeavor for the community at large who have expressed support as well as need for the project.  

The goal of the project is to create an environment where the community and
police can foster trust and appreciation through collaboration.

First Precinct Place will include 50% or 32 of  the 68 units reserved as  affordable of which 21 of those are earmarked for families earning below 50% of the area median income.  

 

The First Precinct Police Station will be a full-service police station that is designed to spec to address every need to include, including administrative offices, interview rooms, evidence rooms, etc.

The residential tower of the First Precinct building includes a total of 68 units, 32 of which 21 units are earmarked for families earning below 50% of the area’s median income.  Amenities include multi-use community rooms, rooftop deck, and green spaces.

The First Precinct Building Project will also include 2942 square feet of community space, part of which will be dedicated to community programming, events, and meetings.
